"I stay fit because it feels good. When I gave up contact sports because of an injury I wanted a new physical challenge and a friend recommended water-based exercise. So I contacted my local pool to see what they had available.
I thought swimming was just about lengths. It’s not. I started using weights in the pool and took up Aqua Jogging. Now I’m getting better results than I ever got in the gym. And it is low impact.
I don’t have to worry about the dreaded middle-age spread either – working out in the water is something you can keep up at any age and at every level of fitness."
