Claire Cashmore picks her favourite Paralympian of all time
To celebrate the London 2012 Paralympics on 29th August 2011, we caught up with Claire Cashmore and asked her who her favourite Paralympian of all time was.
About Claire
Claire Cashmore had just completed her GCSEs when she made her Paralympic debut as the youngest member of the British Paralympic Swimming team at Athens 2004. The 16-year old showed few signs of inexperience as she waltzed away with bronze medals in the SB8 100m Breaststroke and SB9 200m Individual Medley.
Cashmore has been one of the mainstays of the British Gas GBR Disability Swimming Team ever since, winning medals at every major championship she has competed in since.
The 2011 season proved to be one of her most succesful yet as she scooped a personal record of five medals at the IPC Swimming European Championships in Berlin.
