The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Grant Turner picks his favourite Olympian of all time

To celebrate the Year to Go celebration for London 2012 on 27th July 2011, we caught up with Grant Turner and asked him to reveal his favourite Olympian of all time.

About Grant

Grant Turner is one of the most promising freestyle swimmers in the British Gas GBR Swimming Team.

Born in Swindon, the 22-year old trains with Ben Titley's elite group at the British Gas ITC Loughborough and won his first senior international medal with 4x100m Freestyle Relay silver at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi last year.

Turner set a 100m Freestyle personal best of 49.30 at the British Gas ASA National Championships 2011 in Sheffield and is aiming to compete in the 50m and 100m Freestyle at London 2012.
