About Hannah

Scottish swimmer Hannah Miley was tipped for great things after finishing fourth in the 400m Individual Medley as a precocious 16-year old at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.

Coached by her father Patrick at Garioch SC in North Scotland, Miley made steady progress after Melbourne, reaching the Olympic final for the same event at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and finishing fourth at the 2009 World Championships.

2010 was to be Miley's breakthrough year as she romped to European and Commonwealth gold in Budapest and Delhi respectively, finishing the season ranked number one in the world and more than half a second quicker than anyone else.
