About James

James Goddard is one of most experienced members of the British Gas GBR Swimming Team, having competed at two Olympic Games and five FINA World Championships.

The 28-year old has been a world class performer for a number of years, winning 200m Backstroke gold at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester and recapturing it at the 2010 Games in Delhi.

Training under Sean Kelly's stewardship at the British Gas ITC Stockport, Goddard narrowly missed out on a medal after finishing fourth at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and is likely to be a medal contender in both the 200m Individual Medley and 200m Backstroke at London 2012.

Find out more about James by viewing his Profile Page or following him on Twitter.
