Kris Gilchrist picks his favourite Olympian of all time
To celebrate the Year to Go celebration for London 2012 on 27th July 2011, we caught up with Kris Gilchrist and asked him to reveal his favourite Olympian of all time.
About Kris
Scottish swimmer Kris Gilchrist is one of a handful of the current British Gas GBR Swimming team to have won medals at world, Commonwealth and European levels.
The 27-year old won his first international honours in 2006, lifting 200m Breaststroke bronze at the European Championships in Budapest as well as 4x100m Medley Relay bronze with Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
Gilchrist became World Short Course 200m Breaststroke champion at the 2008 Championships in Manchester, months before making his Olympic debut in Beijing.
The British 200m Breaststroke record holder has since moved to the British Gas ITC Bath where he is preparing for London 2012 under head coach Dave McNulty.
After a quiet few years in terms of medals, Burnett stormed to 100m Freestyle silver at last year's Commonwealth Games and booked his place at the 2011 World Championships courtesy of winning the 50m and 100m Freestyle double at the British Gas ASA National Championships.
