The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Liz Johnson picks her favourite Paralympian of all time

To celebrate the Year to Go celebration for the London 2012 Paralympics on 29th August 2011, we caught up with Liz Johnson and asked her who her favourite Paralympian of all time was.

About Liz

Despite being just 25-years old, Liz Johnson has been competing at the highest level for more than eight years, having won SB6 100m Breaststroke silver on her Paralympic debut at Athens 2004.

Four years later, Johnson won an emotional gold in the same event in Beijing to add to her world title from 2006.

The Welsh swimmer finally added the European title to her collection in 2011, 10 years after making her senior European Championships debut.
