The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

To celebrate the London 2012 Paralympic Games, we asked some of our top disability swimmers for their favourite Paralympian of all time.

Following hot on the heels of the Olympic Games comes the Paralympic Games - the source of countless inspirational stories and journeys, not to mention a fiercely competitive spectacle.

Swimming has been one of the marquee events at each Paralympics since the first Games in 1960 and the British team have been a major force at each.

But who do our current crop of Paralympic hopefuls take inspiration from?
