About Rebecca

Rebecca Adlington became a household name in Great Britain after winning the Olympic 400m Freestyle title at Beijing 2008 to become the country's first female Olympic champion in 48 years.

Just days later Adlington became the most succesful British swimmer for 100 years as she scooped a second gold in the 800m Freestyle, setting a world record that stands to this day.

The 22-year old has continued to impress in the years since Beijing, notably repeating her 400m and 800m Freestyle double on her Commonwealth Games debut for England in Delhi last year.
