Step back in time with British Swimming at the SportPark Library

The ASA Library has new home at SportPark in Loughborough, alongside the offices of British Swimming and the ASA.  For many years the ASA library was situated at Harold Fern House, tucked away in boxes, on shelves, out of the way for many to be able to see or research.

With the move to new premises at SportPark in 2010, the British Swimming and the ASA library finally secured a permanent home on the first floor of Pavilion 3.

The old Minute Books, Handbooks and Swimming Times along with other books associated with our sport have been catalogued, as have old swimming programmes, newspaper articles, pictures, videos, medals and much more going back into the last two centuries.

Although this is still an ongoing process we would like to offer a service to people researching our sport to be able to come along and visit us to help with the research into books, degrees, or perhaps the history of their club.

Should you wish to make an appointment to visit us at SportPark, Loughborough, please contact wendy.coles@swimming.org or call 01509 618700.
