Antony' Career
Antony's career took off in 2009 where he cut a second off his 100m Butterfly personal best to win silver at the British Championships before clocking what was then a British record 51.92 at the British Gas Youth Championships later in the year. Just five days later, he set a British short course record over the same distance and earned his first international call-up for the European Short Course Championships in Istanbul, reaching the 100m Fly final in Turkey. A long course international debut followed at the 2010 European Championships in Budapest before Antony reached the international podium for the first time with 100m Butterfly silver for England at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. He made his World Championship debut in Shanghai last year and was selected for London 2012 following his 100m Fly gold at the 2012 British Gas ASA National Championships.
