Did you know?

  • Born in Barcelona to British parents, Ciara has not forgotten her roots - her favourite food is paella and favourite sportsperson is FC Barcelona footballer Lionel Messi
  • She began playing water polo when she was 11 and was voted the best cadet player in Spain when she was in the under-16 age group.
  • At just 19-years old, she is the youngest member of the two British water polo teams playing at London 2012.

Ciara's Career

Ciara has been a mainstay of the British team since making her debut as a 17-year old in 2010. Having switched from Spanish outfit CN Mataro to City of Manchester, she played in the World League for the Brits in 2010, travelled to the World University Games in 2011 and helped the British women qualify for the 2012 European Championships for the first time in 15 years. It was at the Europeans in January this year where Ciara underlined her world class ability, scoring in every game to finish joint top British scorer on seven.
