Did you know?
- Fran is another of the British team with a strong family background in water polo - her mother Judi once captained the British team while her father was also a coach and club chairman.
- She was also a talented gymnast but after concentrating on water polo in her teens, she broke into the senior British squad in January 2007.
- She is a dog lover and while she doesn't have time to keep one herself, she volunteers as a dog-walker for Manchester Dogs home.
Fran's Career
After being involved in the development teams to play at the European Junior Championships in 2008 and 2009, Fran was picked for the gold medal-winning European Nations Trophy side at Manchester in 2009. She played in World League qualifiers in 2010 and was a key player in Great Britain's bronze medal-winning Four Nations Invitational campaign and seventh place finish at the World University Games in 2011. She competed in the British team at this season's European Championships and had a taste of the Olympic Water Polo Arena as part of the British squad at the VISA Invitational in May.
