Ieuan's Career
Ieuan enjoyed a fruitful junior career, winning 200m IM gold and 400m IM silver at the 2009 European Youth Olympic Festival in Tampere before adding 200m IM silver at his first European Junior Championships in Helsinki the following year. His form earned him a spot on the Wales team for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi where, still only 17, he came 0.23 seconds short of a final berth in the 200m IM. Ieuan won his first British Champs medals in 2011, lifting 200m IM bronze and 400m Freestyle silver before walking away with double gold (200m IM, 4x200m Free) from the European Juniors in Budapest. He went on to win a trio of medals at the 2012 British Champs (200m IM bronze, 200m Free silver, 400m Free bronze) and secured his debut Olympic spot on the 4x200m Freestyle Relay quartet.
