In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

  • He started playing water polo at Trinity School in Croydon which has a strong tradition in the sport.
  • He was a talented football player before making the decision to prioritise water polo when he was 16. Nowadays, he makes do watching favourite club Chelsea whenever he can.
  • He likes to relax with a good film and thinks he might pursue a career in teaching after finishing with competitive water polo.

Sean's Career

Sean made his senior international debut at a tournament in Malta in 2008. He has gone from strength to strength since then, finishing fourth with the Brits at the 2009 European B Championships then competing in European A Qualifers and World League qualifiers against the likes of Italy and Russia this season. Domestically, he has played professionally at German side SV Weiden for the past two seasons.
