Michael Jamieson and Andrew Willis admit the pressure to secure a spot at the London Olympics has increased the in-house swimming rivalry at the University of Bath.

We train together, motivate each other and egg each other on. But when it comes to competition one of us will be disappointed.

Willis said: "That kind of sums up the beauty of sport because we are all top swimmers but someone's going to end up disappointed next year.

"At the trials there will be a selection time based on the top 16 in the world. There are only two spots available and all three of us are ranked inside the top ten at the moment.

"We train together, motivate each other and egg each other on. We both love racing but, when it comes to competition, one of us will be disappointed and that's just how it works."
