2nd August 2011 - Middlesbrough Evening Gazette

Jemma Lowe insists it is back to the grindstone in preparation for London 2012 after bringing the curtain down on her World Championship campaign in Shanghai.

It has been a really long week but I’m really happy with how the year has gone and stepping forward to next year and the Olympics

After reaching the finals of the 100m and 200m Butterfly in China, Lowe finished her competition by helping the British 4x100m Medley Relay quartet qualify for the final.

“I really enjoyed it," said Lowe of her medley relay swim. "I was really up for it and excited to do my last swim of the week.

“I really enjoy the relays, they are a lot of fun being there with the rest of your team.

“I got the team in the final so it was job done for me. It has been a really long week but I’m really happy with how the year has gone and stepping forward to next year and the Olympics.

“I’ve learnt a lot from the week and it has given lots of motivation to work hard in the winter and hopefully come back even quicker next year."
