5th January 2012

Michael Jamieson enjoyed a whirlwind finish to his 2011 season, setting personal bests in his favourite 200m Breaststroke over long course and short course in the space of two weeks.

His long course PB came first at the Dutch Open in Eindhoven as he clocked 2:10.40 - slicing 0.02 off his previous best from the British Gas Swimming Championships in March 2011.

A week later, he rounded off his year by setting a British record 2:03.61 to win 200m Breaststroke bronze at the European Short Course Championships in Szczcecin, Poland.

We caught up with the Scot - who is based at the British Gas ITC Bath - in Poland and asked him how he planned to maintain his momentum into the New Year.
