Entries open for British Gas Swimming Championships 2014

31st January 2014

Entries have opened for the biggest domestic swimming competition of the year.

The British Gas Swimming Championships 2014 will take place between 10 – 15 April at Glasgow 2014 venue Tollcross International Swimming Centre.

The annual event is the epitome of high performance swimming that will see almost 600 competitors challenge for personal bests and national records.

This year the able bodied and Para-Swimming athletes will also be competing to represent their home nation during the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The six day event will form a crucial stage in the selection process for the English, Scottish and Welsh swimming teams. For Scottish and Welsh swimmers this will be their second opportunity to make the squad, but for the English athletes this will be their only chance for selection.

The British Gas Swimming Championships will provide the first opportunity for many athletes to compete at the recently refurbished venue.

Tickets are also available for members of the public to experience the atmosphere ahead of Glasgow 2014. Prices start from as little as £4.50 and are available via www.ticketmaster.co.uk/feature/british-swimming/

Entries for the British Gas Swimming Championships close on 19 March. For more information about the event, including how to enter, visit www.swimming.org/bgtrials
