Fox on track for second gold

Jonathan Fox ducked under the S7 Paralympic qualification time to lead qualifiers into day two’s MC 100m Backstroke final at the British Gas Swimming Championships 2012.
The world and European champion touched in 1:11.65 to score 1012 points and take a step towards defending his British title.
S14 swimmer Aaron Moores qualified in second for the final, also meeting the Paralympic qualification time as he touched in 1:05.74 for 914 points.
Former S9 Paralympic champion James Crisp will also be a threat in the final after qualifying in third with his time of 1:04.03 for 901 points, also quick enough to duck under the London 2012 qualification time.
S9 European champion Stephanie MIllward led qualifiers in the women's MC 100m Backstroke, touching in 1:11.23 for 921 points and ducking under her Paralympic qualification time in the process.
Nyree Kindred (S6) progressed in second for the final, stopping the clock on 1:29.38 for 918 points while Hannah Russell (S12) was third into the final, breaking her own British record to touch in 1:11.22 for 905 points.
Russell's time was good enough to beat the S12 Paralympic qualification time while S8 Paralympic champion Heather Frederiksen also ducked under her Paralympic qualification time with her effort of 1:20.78.
