Frederiksen leads 50m qualifiers on day three

Heather Frederiksen and Ellie Simmonds secured their respective Paralympic qualification times as they progressed first and second for the MC 50m Freestyle final at the British Gas Swimming Championships 2012.
Frederiksen was pick of the qualifiers in the morning heats, touching in 32.21 for 910 points.
The City of Salford swimmer ducked under the S8 Paralympic qualification time for the third time in as many days, having already done so in the 400m Freestyle and 100m Backstroke at London Aquatics Centre.
Ellie Simmonds (S6) won her heat in 37.10 to also hit the Paralympic qualification time.
The double Paralympic champion earned 884 points for her performance and was matched by S9 swimmer Louise Watkin, who will look to defend her British title and improve on her 30.26 from the heats.
IPC world champion Matt Walker (S7) led the way in the men's MC 50m Freestyle heats, securing the Paralympic qualification time with his effort of 28.71 for 895 points.
Sean Fraser (S8) progressed in second on 28.36 for 811 points while Simon Miller (S9) was third in 27.40 for 790 points.
