Miley, McClatchey and O’Connor complete Champs line-up
11th June 2013
A trio of top female swimmers were among the final names confirmed for the 2013 British Gas Swimming Championships after entries closed last week.
Hannah Miley boasts one of the most impressive records in British Champs history, having lifted the 200m Individual Medley title for the past six years and the 400m Individual Medley crown for the past seven.
The World Short Course champion will aim to defend both titles in Sheffield and has also entered the 200m Freestyle, 400m Freestyle, 200m Breaststroke and 200m Butterfly events.
Caitlin McClatchey is also a multiple British Champs medallist, having won her first medal in 2004 (400m Freestyle bronze) and her first gold – also for 400m Freestyle – the following year.
More recently, the 27-year old has enjoyed greater success over the shorter freestyle distances including 200m Freestyle silver last season.

The Scottish swimmer will line-up in the 100m, 200m and 400m Free events at Ponds Forge.
Finally, Siobhan-Marie O’Connor will enter three events as she looks to secure her spot at her second consecutive World Championships.
The 17-year old is yet to land a British Champs medal but set an English 200m Individual Medley record 2:10.53 at the inaugural British Gas International Meet in Leeds earlier this season.
As well as the 200m IM, O’Connor will compete in the 100m Breaststroke and 50m Butterfly events.
