Swimmer Sascha Kindred may have his hands full more than most at present but he insists that fatherhood won’t derail his pursuit of the mother of all Paralympics in London next year.
"Our little girl Ella is only ten weeks old so that's been taking up most of my time of late, she's our little bundle of joy," said Kindred.
It's hard work to juggle looking after a kid with all the training and the pool time we have to put in but it will all be worth it in the end.
"But I certainly don't need an alarm clock to get up for training any more, she does that job all on her own.
"Of course it's hard work to juggle looking after a kid with all the training and the pool time we have to put in but it will all be worth it in the end.
"I can't think of anything more special than having Ella in the crowd when we are competing at London 2012, it would be a dream come true for us as a family.
"There was never a doubt in my mind that I wasn't going to continue after Beijing, the chance to compete in a home Olympics is a once in a lifetime thing and I can't wait.
"I achieved what I wanted in Beijing but I still feel that I can go even faster in London and that's my main achievement."
