The Bath breaststrokers look to their Champs showdown

29th February 2012

One of the most eagerly anticipated races at the British Gas Swimming Championships 2012 (Selection Trials) is the men’s 200m Breaststroke final.

An event in which Great Britain had two finalists at last year's World Championships in the form of Michael Jamieson (fifth) and Andrew Willis (eighth) would be exciting enough.

But given the fact that their training partner at the British Gas ITC in Bath, Kris Gilchrist, swam faster than either of them last season and finished ninth in the year-end world rankings with his 2:10.16 at the British Gas ASA Championships, the 200m Breaststroke has become one of the must-see events of the Champs.

We caught up with the trio and asked them for a unique insight into their relationship.
