In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

British Gas Water Polo Championships 2014 - Finals

British Gas Water Polo Championships

The British Gas Water Polo Championships are the pinnacle of the national club calendar. The 2014 Championship finals will take place at Manchester Aquatic Centre over the weekend of 22 - 23 February.

The finals will feature semi-finals on the opening day then a third-place playoff and final on day two.

City of Manchester will head the men’s entries, having won the British Water Polo League (BWPL) title and all three of their matches at the British Championship Prelims.

Invicta will stand in Manchester’s way in the semi-finals while Cheltenham and 2012 champions Portobello will face off in the second semi.

London Otter will be top seeds for the women’s competition, having won the British Water Polo League (BWPL) title earlier this season, and will face City of Coventry in their semi-final.

BWPL runners-up City of Manchester, who have won the Championship title for the past six seasons will take on local rivals Liverpool Lizards in the second semi-final.

Tickets will be available to buy on the door.
