James Denny

James Denny made his first breakthrough in 2011, finishing fourth in the 1m Springboard and fifth in the 10m Platform at the British Gas Diving Championships to earn himself a spot at his first European Junior Championships where he secured top six finishes in both events in the oldest Group A age group.

The following season, he won his first individual domestic medals with 10m Platform silver at the British Gas National Cup then bronze in the same event at the British Gas Diving Championships in Sheffield.

After upgrading to silver at the season-opening 2013 British Gas Diving Championships in Plymouth, Denny was selected for his first senior Championship team, reaching the final before finishing ninth in the 10m Platform at the European Championships.

He made further progress in 2014, winning his first senior British title with 3m Springboard gold, then claiming his first senior international medal, combining with Tom Daley for 10m Synchro silver on his Commonwealth debut for England at Glasgow 2014.
