Matthew Dixon

Matthew Dixon’s potential was clear from an early age as he completed the clean sweep of 1m, 3m and Platform golds in the youngest Group C age group at the 2012 and 2013 British Gas Elite Junior Diving Championships.

He kicked off his 2014 season with an impressive fifth place in the 10m Platform at the British Gas National Cup in Southend then repeated his Elite Junior clean sweep for the third consecutive year, this time in the Group B age group.

A matter of weeks later, Dixon made his mark on the senior stage, taking advantage of defending champion Tom Daley's absence to win the 10m Platform title at the British Gas Diving Championships in Sheffield.

His result at Ponds Forge earned him a spot on the England team for his debut Commonwealth Games in Glasgow where he finished ninth in the 10m Platform.
