In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Francesca Del Celo

Francesca Del Celo emerged as one to watch in the 2011 season, reaching the 1m and 3m Springboard finals at the National Cup, claiming Group B medals in both springboard events at the British Elite Junior Championships then making the final and finishing eighth at the British Gas Diving Championships in Leeds.

She continued to progress in 2012, winning Group A 1m and 3m Springboard silver at the Elite Junior Championships then teaming up with Grace Reid for 3m Synchro gold on her European Junior debut.

In 2013, Del Celo impressed with fourth (1m Springboard) and fifth (3m Springboard) place finishes at the season-opening British Gas Diving Championships before claiming the Group A 3m Springboard title at the British Elite Juniors Champs and returning to the European Junior podium again with Reid, winning bronze in the 3m Synchro.

She won her first senior individual national medals in 2014, winning 1m Springboard bronze at both the National Cup and British Gas Diving Championships, before reaching the finals of both springboard events in the Group A age group at both the European and World Junior Championships.
