PERSONAL

Did you know?
Away from the pool, Andrew is studying for a degree in Chemical Engineering. Having completed two years at Bath University, he has taken a year out to focus on the Olympic season. Meanwhile, he comes from a swimming-mad family. Sister Kathryn competes at national level while father Nigel is head coach at Bracknell & Wokingham Swimming Club.

Andrew's Career
Andrew Willis is one of a trio of world class breaststroke swimmers training under Dave McNulty at the British Gas ITC in Bath. He moved to Bath on the back of reaching the European Junior Championship 200m Breaststroke final in 2008 and broke through into the senior ranks in 2010 to finish fourth in the same event at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi. Last season brought further success for Willis as he ducked under 2:11 minutes for the first time in his career, clocking a 2:10.49 en route to a final appearance on his World Championship debut in Shanghai.
