Hannah has been a swimming-nut since she was a child and had signed posters adorning her bedroom walls of GB swimmers Graeme Smith, Mark Foster and Karen Pickering as well as US Olympic idols Misty Hyman and Lenny Krayzelburg. The poster of Smith was stuck above her head and would often come unstuck, meaning she woke up staring into his face! Away from swimming, Hannah is a Sport and Exercise Science student at Robert Gordon's University in Aberdeen.

Hannah's Career
With a sixth place finish on her Olympic debut at Beijing 2008 and fourth places at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and 2009 World Championships, Hannah Miley was in danger of becoming the nearly woman of the British team. But her first international title (400m Individual Medley) at the 2009 European Short Course Championships in Istanbul was the catalyst for a run of form which has seen her medal at every subsequent major championships. Miley won her first individual long course title (400m Individual Medley) at the 2010 European Championships before adding the Commonwealth title later in the year then storming to silver in the same event at last year's World Championships in Shanghai.
