Marren lowers British records in Basildon

Paralympian Amy Marren lowered two British records at the Essex County Championships (25m) in Basildon.
The 14-year old broke the 200m Freestyle record in the S9 category to 2:16.65 and then repeated her success in the 200m Backstroke, knocking seven seconds off her own British record to stop the clock at 2:30.64.
Marren will return to the long course pool this weekend at the DSE National Junior and Youth Championships at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.
Elsewhere, Eleni Papadopoulos broke the European S10 record in the 200m Butterfly at the BUCS Long Course Championships.
She lowered her own record from 2:45.64 to 2:41.41.
