Papadopoulos claims British crown

City of Sunderland’s Eleni Papadopoulos won her 100m Butterfly crown with an excellent swim on the final day of competition at the British Gas Swimming Championships 2010.

Papadoloulos (S10) was looking good throughout the race and she touched in a time of 1:14.62 to claim 787 points and win gold by almost one hundred points.

City of Leeds’ Claire Cashmore (S9) won the silver medal with a total of 700 points after finishing in 1:15.18.

Emma Hollis (Epping Forest, S8) won the bronze medal in a time of 1:26.71 with a total of 564 points.

Warrender’s Sean Fraser (S8) won his first title of the competition after winning the men’s 100m Freestyle with a strong swim.

He touched in a time of 1:02.49 and claimed 789 points to take the gold medal.

Paralympic Champion Graham Edmunds (Swansea Performance, S10) won the silver medal with a points total of 780 and a time of 55.82. The bronze medal went to Jonathan Fox (Newquay, S7) who won a total of 776 points with a time of 1:05.65.
