Records for Russell at Regional Short Course
5th December 2012
Hannah Russell continued her record-breaking form at last weekend’s ASA South West Regional Short Course Championships at Millfield School.
The 16-year old, who marked her Paralympic debut with three medals in the S12 classification at London 2012 this summer, stormed to PBs over 100m and 200m Freestyle.
Having set a British 100m Freestyle record the previous week at the DSE National Short Course Championships, Russell ducked under 61 seconds for the first time to set a new British marker of 1:00.88.
Russell impressed again over twice the distance, sailing under Germany’s Naomi Maike Schnittger’s world record 2:14.33 to clock a British record 2:12.16.
