BRITISH GAS JUNIOR DIVERS PERFORM WELL AT EUROPEANS

The British Gas junior diving team have returned from a successful LEN European Junior Diving Championships in Budapest.
The event, which took place from 1st-5th July in Hungary’s capital, saw the British Gas team achieve their target of two medals; Hannah Starling and Saffron Sutcliffe (both City of Leeds) won silver in the Girls’ 3m synchro event, and Jack Haslam (City of Sheffield) earned a bronze on the 3m board with a new P.B. of 436.25.
With 10 out of the 12 divers achieving a top-eight position the team performed very well and managed an impressive 21 finals out of 22 events. The British Gas team finished 5th in the overall medal table, one place off their targeted fourth.
