Dingley takes gold in Helsinki

Oliver Dingley scooped his second medal for the British Diving Team, powered by British Gas, earlier today as he went in the Boys 1m at the LEN European Junior Diving Championships 2010.
Dingley took gold with a score of 514.75. The Harrogate diver won the prelim and led from the front throughout the final with convincing performances to take the title over Ukraine’s Olexander Bondar with more than a 20 point lead.
The Boys B Platform saw some great performances from Jack Laugher and Jack Haslam in the preliminary round, finishing in second and fourth respectively, However the boys were unable to follow through in the final with sixth and 12th place finishes.
Laugher was just 12 points off his third medal of the Championships,
Crystal Palace’s Jessica Williams took fifth place in the Girls 3m with a score of 403.35 booking her place to the World Junior Championships.
