Gallantree and Laugher in action on 3m Springboard

21 March 2014

Rebecca Gallantree and Jack Laugher were both in action on day two of the FINA/NVC Diving World Series in Dubai.

Gallantree looked very confident during her 3m Springboard final. In a strong line up that featured Zi He and Tania Cagnotto, the 29-year old had six consistent dives, finishing fourth with 327.90 points.

Laugher was very strong in the men’s 3m Springboard semi final, qualifying third with 487.95 points.

After four dives in the final Laugher remained in a medal winning position, with his Front 2 ½ Somersaults 2 Twists piked scoring him 86.70 points.

But after a bad landing to his Front 4 ½ Somersaults tucked dive, the 19-year old finished the competition in sixth place.

The pair now look to the London leg of the competition on 26 April.
