Laugher and Gallantree added to Edinburgh roster

3rd April 2013

Jack Laugher and Rebecca Gallantree have been added to the British Gas GBR Diving Team set to compete at the third leg of the FINA/Midea Diving World Series in Edinburgh.

World Championship finalist Laugher has been handed an entry in the men’s 3m Springboard while Gallantree will partner Alicia Blagg in the 3m Synchro after their impressive performances at the opening two legs of this season’s World Series in Beijing and Dubai respectively.

Edinburgh will be Laugher’s first senior international competition since the London 2012 Olympic Games and he has spent the winter months working on new dives to increase the difficulty of his list.

The City of Leeds diver won his third consecutive 3m national title at February’s British Gas Diving Championships.

Meanwhile, Gallantree also retained the 3m Synchro British crown with Blagg in February and the pair became Great Britain’s first female springboard World Series medallists last month when they won silver in Beijing.

Tickets are still available for Edinburgh - click here for more information.
