Lobb wins European Junior bronze

Plymouth’s Shanice Lobb added to the British Gas GBR Diving Team’s medal tally on the second day of competition of the European Junior Championships with her first international bronze medal.

Lobb, who was competing in the girls B Platform event, performed an excellent first round dive to score 64.40 to begin the competition with confidence.

The Brit won bronze with a final score of 327.90 while British teammate Sarah Brown finished sixth with 307.40.

Grace Reid, who is a 3m Springboard specialist, secured fifth place in the 1m Springboard with a total score of 378.90. Reid came up against tough competition in the final and was just 15 points of the podium.

The boys 3m Springboard saw Daniel Goodfellow secure fifth place with a score of 501.70. Goodfellow scored consistently throughout the competition but a slight drop in his third round dive saw him drop down the leader board.
