Promising start for British divers at European Championships

8 March 2011

The British Diving Team, powered by British Gas, have made a promising start to the LEN European Diving Championships in Turin with a sixth place finish in the Team Event.

Max Brick and Jenny Cowen performed for the British contingent in the team event which sees divers using both the 3m and 10m boards to perform three dives each.

The pair lay in fifth place in the third round after scoring well in the first half of the competition but dropped dives in the fourth and fifth rounds meant that the divers moved to seventh place.

A good Armstand Back 2 Someraults 1 ½ Twists saw Brick and Cowen move back up and finish in sixth with a score of 308.40.
