Robinson-Baker and Mears secure fifth in Europe

Nick Robinson-Baker and Chris Mears finished fifth in the 3m Synchro at the European Championships in Eindhoven.
The British pair began the final well with a total of 102.00 for their required dives amd opened the optional rounds with their Reverse 2 1/2 Someraults 1 1/2 Twists piked to score 71.28.
They continued to score well through the rounds but dropped their Front 4 1/2 Somersaults tucked to fall down the leaderboard.
The finished in fifth place overall with a total score of 390.84
In the women's 1m Springboard Alicia Blagg and Rhea Gayle showed their potential but a couple of errors cost them in the overall rankings.
Blagg (15) qualified in fifth place for her first European final but dropped her Reverse 1 1/2 Somersaults piked to finish in 11th place oveall with a score of 235.05.
Gayle finished in 10th place with a total score of 242.70.
