Thornton and Williams secure bronze medals in Belgrade

Jessica Williams and Sam Thornton secured the first medals for the British in Belgrade on day one of the European Junior Diving Championships.
In the prelims of the 1m Springboard, Thornton finished in fourth place just behind British Gas GBR Diving Team mate Daniel Goodfellow.
Thronton had a consistent final as he won bronze with a score of 359.55. Goodfellow finished in fifth with 350.10.
Williams, who was competing in the 10m Platform, put in an excellent performance in the final to win her bronze with a score of 371.55.
She impressed with her consistency throughout the prelim and final. Robyn Byrch finished in fifth with a score of 354.85.
In the 3m Synchro Freddie Woodward and Josh Dowd finished in fourth place with a score of 269.10.
