Daley and Sylvester headline World Juniors team
Tom Daley will aim to add the junior title to his world senior crown at the Junior World Diving Championships in Tuscon, Arizona this week.
The 16-year old struck two silvers in the ‘B’ category two years ago and will be looking to reach the podium again after a tricep injury disrupted his European Championship and Youth Olympic Games campaigns in August.
Daley will be joined in the USA by synchro partner Max Brick, with whom the teenager finished ninth in the 10m synchro platform at the World Championships in Rome last year.
Megan Sylvester will lead the women’s charge in Arizona, less than a month after lifting her first senior medal at the European Championships in Budapest.
The 16-year old captured bronze with Monique Gladding in the 10m synchro platform in Hungary and will also arrive in the USA having since competed at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore, where she reached the 10m platform final.
The event runs from Wednesday 1 September to Monday 6 September.
