The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Coach Sean Kelly returns to British Gas ITC

British Swimming has welcomed Sean Kelly back to his role as Head Coach of the British Gas ITC Stockport.

Sean returned to the deck this morning, after recuperating from illness earlier this year, and is looking forward to working back on pool deck as they begin their preparations for World trials in 2013. 

National Performance Director Michael Scott commented: “The swimmers, staff and I would like to extend a warm welcome to Sean as he recommences his duties back at the ITC. 

“I would also like to thanks Lars for his dedication and professionalism over the last few months in the run up to the 2012 Games in maintaining the high standards and work ethic associated with the swimmers at the ITC.”
