DALEY AND SIMMONDS NOMINATED FOR SCHOOL SPORTS AWARDS

Tom Daley and Eleanor Simmonds have been nominated for The Daily Telegraph/Aviva School Sport Matters Awards 2009.
Now in their fifth year, the awards recognise the achievements of sport in the school environment honouring the best schools, teachers, teams and individuals in the country.
Daley, 15, became the 10m World Champion in July and 14-year-old Simmonds, who is a student at Olchfa School, won two Paralympic gold medals in Beijing are both up for awards.
The best three entries in 10 categories will be selected by the judging panel, which includes Olympic gold medallist Kelly Holmes and Alistair Brownlee, Triathlon World Series Champion and 2006 Male Pupil of the Year winner.
The awards luncheon will take place in October at Chelsea FC.
