The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

NEW APPOINTMENT TO BRITISH SWIMMING BOARD

British Swimming has extended their board by appointing Wai-Yin Hatton as their newest member.

Wai-Yin Hatton is the newest addition to the British Swimming board. As well as a position on the board she will also act as the board’s liaison to the disability programme.

Hatton will liaise between the World Class Disability Swimming Programmes, GB Disability Technical Swimming Committee Chair, Ray Gordon and Tim Reddish Performance Director of British Disability Swimming.

Reddish said “I look forward to working with Wai-Yin within her role as the British Swimming Board liaison to the Disability Swimming World Class programmes"

Hatton brings with her a wealth of experience having previously been appointed Chief Executive of Ayrshire & Arran Health Board in 1995 and the Chief Executive of the unified NHS Ayrshire and Arran in 2004.
