In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

For the next four weeks, we’ll be giving away a pair of tickets for the last two Olympic qualifiers for aquatic sports.

  • On May 11 and May 18, we’ll give away tickets to the British Gas Diving Championships in Ponds Forge, Sheffield on 8-10th June.
  • It’s the last chance for British divers to impress the selectors before the nominations are made to the British Olympic Association so expect Tom Daley, Jack Laugher, Tonia Couch and all the British Gas GBR Diving Team out in force, vying for the national crowns.
  • On May 25 and June 1, we’ll give away tickets to the British Gas ASA National Swimming Championships at Ponds Forge, Sheffield on 20-23rd June
  • With a limited number of spots left on the swimming team for London 2012, competition is guaranteed to be fierce as Great Britain’s finest swimmers look to book their places at the Games.
  • The men’s and women’s 200m Freestyle could well be the races of the week with one Olympic place remaining in both, but with places left in another nine events, this year’s ASA Nationals are a must-see.
