British Gas Masters Championships goes ahead

The British Gas Masters and Senior Age Group Championships 2010 are going ahead despite industrial action currently taking place at the pool.

British Swimming  wants to reassure spectators, competitors and officials that the British Gas Masters and Senior Age Group Championships 2010 will be taking place despite industrial action at Tollcross Leisure Centre.

The event will see some of the country’s top Masters swimmers taking to the water from lunchtime today (18th June). It lasts through to Sunday the 20th June.

Some 500 swimmers will take to the water in an effort to be crowned Britain's best, with many looking to set new World, European and British records.
