The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Evans wins silver at Junior Open Water Champs

Sophie Evans secured silver on the second day of the European Junior Open Water Swimming Championships in Zagreb.

The 15-year old City of Swansea Aquatics swimmer finished second in the women’s youth 5km race.

Holly Hibbott (Southport) finished just behind in fourth and Harriet Rothwell (Ellsemere Titans) was in 16th place.

Tom Millburn (Cockermouth) and Ashley Hogg (Winsford) both competed in the men’s youth 5km, finishing 12th and 18th respectively.
