In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Open water juniors continue development in Zagreb

Britain’s junior open water athletes continued their development with solid swims on the first day of the European Junior Open Water Swimming Championships in Zagreb.

In the first event of the three day meet Toby Robinson (Royal Wolverhampton) led the British swimmers home in the men’s 7.5km.

In a strong field of 38 starters Robinson finished 9th with Archie Mitchell (City of Sheffield) and Thomas Nelson (Wirral Metro) finishing in 13th and 24th respectively.

In the women’s 7.5km Alice Dearing (Royal Wolverhampton) competed the course in 8th with Philippa Shuttleworth (Hatfield) in 13th place.

The next event is the youth 5km which takes place tomorrow.
