In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

World Champion back in water in South Africa

World 10km Champion Keri-Anne Payne will lead a nine-strong team into action at the Midmar mile and Midmar 10km race with both taking place in South Africa this weekend.

The British team, powered by British Gas, also features Olympic medallists David Davies and Cassie Patten and European Junior medallist Tom Allen.

The swimmers will compete in the Midmar mile on Sunday 14th February and then they will be back in action in the Midmar 10km race on Tuesday 16th February.

This will be the first time that many of the athletes have been in competition this year and they will be looking to put in strong performances before the British Gas Swimming Championships 2010 in March.
